I have just found out from a guy who cleaned the gutters of my house that I have a wasps nest. I never noticed before but he showed me. I rang the pest control there and they are sending out somebody out next Wednesday but he said they only spray the area.
Now if this doesn't work what should I do next. I forgot to ask the guy.
If they aren't bothering you - and you say you were unaware of them- why not let them live?
Wasps, like bees, pollinate plants and flowers as they feed on nectar. So wasps do serve a purpose and despite being a problem at certain times of the year, they are a beneficial insect.
oh thanks Spath - like you need to have seen the gutter fella - he became like a man possessed - crying and rubbing himself all down - saying right enough "I'm terrified of these" - running to his van - I asked him if he had been stung the way he was getting on - but he hadn't - so that made me frightened.
Beware of wasps , I upset a nest a few weeks ago , four stings, on the lips . Lips and head were so swollen, you would have thought I was TTT, or YMB, it was a hospital job , Antihistamine injection.
