Has Anyone Experienced This ?

After a virus in February i lost my sense of smell and taste. The last couple of days i have a sense of a sort of metallic smell , all be it, very faint in my nose. I'm hoping i may getting these senses back.

always do after a heavy cold...metallic usually indicates blood ?

Funny enough, I had an awful virus about the same time as a result of which my right ear became blocked, still not right all these months later, just hope over time it gets back to normal. Hopefully you will be the same.

The same happened to me after a virus, I lost my sense of taste and to a degree my sense of smell. I happened to mention it to the doctor when I went for a check up and she looked in my ears as well. She suggested they were connected as my one ear seemed to be partially blocked. Upshot was I was given a nose spray(Avamys) to use once a day and it really seems to work. Hope this helps.

Interesting. I have mentioned this twice to two different doctors. Both said it will come back at some point. They say it was the virus that did it.
