After one of our U3A outings yesterday we finished our day having afternoon tea at one of our members. There were twenty of us and we sat in the sunshine in her garden. One of the things she produced was a cake from M & S. It was a rainbow cake. It had 6 layers all different colours, covered in cream and sprinkles. It was about 8 -10 inches tall. It was wonderful and a real talking point. Anyone else sampled it?

Thanks for the links Mamya and goodgoalie.
It must have cost a fortune, she had bought two of the cakes and also the sports ball tartlets.
What a treat!

No, I've not sampled it Caran but I'd like to!

do they exist ? blueberry muffins shout out at me ! "EAT ME ..EAT ME.." lol
teri hatcher made one on the celebrity bake off .
I will have to dig out my low carb high protein brownie recipe. It's made with the high cocoa solids chocolate, almonds and whey protein. Can't remember if it is in one of my diet books or a recipe book. If you add mixed nuts they fill you up for ages and kill chocolate cravings, they freeze well too.
I have moved this thread into the category "Food & Drink".
Yes, Caran because according to the link the Rainbow Cakes were £25 each, so thats £50 your friend paid thats without the cost of the tartlets.
