Hi
Stuck on this stinker question in a section about Ferrari from a Rotary Quiz ending soon.

What race marked Ferrari’s first win in international motorsport?
My research says it could either be the Mille Miglia or the Le Mans 24 hour race!

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ..... but it says they won Mille Miglia and Le Mans earlier. All depends what is classified as international motorsport.
The first successful car was the 125S
It won the Rome Grand Prix in May 1947

Le Mans seems to be the best possibility at the moment. Difficult question but thanks.
Ferrari didn't win Le Mans until 1949 so I think my answer is correct - unless somebody knows different :)
From wiki re the 1947 grand prix suggested by geevo
The 1947 race was notable as it marked the first win for Ferrari with a car of their own construction, the Ferrari 125 S.[1]

Seems the answer is Le Mans.
Thanks for your help.
You asked this a month ago, when we also raised the question of what is 'international motorsport'
