Started (voluntary) work at the local food bank distribution centre on Monday.
Went in today expecting a quiet day marking up and packing food for the delivery van. Got a day when a major food supplier sent a lorry load of pallets to be unloaded.
Wasn't expecting for a pallet of tinned fish to fall off the back of the lorry and having to sweep up a load of sardines off the road and pick up tins of fish.
I smelt like an aquarium when Id finished.....
Still do now after a bath....
Ah well! all in a good cause I suppose....
Anyone find the smell of fish a turnoff? Because I reek of it!!
Why couldn't it have been biscuits or something??

I help run a small local charity, on a voluntary basis, and get great satisfaction from the feed-back from those who we set out to help.
More power to your elbow, I hope you find your involvement with the charity rewarding, despite this minor hic-cup.
