i want to lose 5-7KG . i have went and bought loads of eggs, tuna, chicken breasts.
im cutting out bread / potatoes etc ( well maybe the odd chicken & salad sandwich )
so, can anyone advise on any nice easy recipes for either of these ingredients.
foods i like are :
egg & chicken omelettes
tuna melts with little cheese and wholemeal baguette
chicken & salad baguette
chicken tikka baguette ( obviously not too much mayo , just enough to taste )
anything indian or mexican made with chicken or egg or tuna .

while i am here, can anyone please tell me how to make chicken tikka / chicken tandoori sandwich spread from mayo etc. used to have jars in my local wholesaler but they are not selling them anymore.

feel free to fire away and give me some tasty ideas
thanks

Sweet potato chips are lush!
Nobody said rice was bad - but if you are following a low/no carb diet you should exclude rice etc from your diet.
They are Aunt Lydia as is the mash.
Hubby has been following high protein low/no carbs for 4 weeks and has lost 7 kilo - he is very pleased with himself.
You just did
Me? Where?
The problem in the West (mainly UK and US) is that we have incorporated the carbs from cuisines from all over the world into our diet. In the Far east, they only eat rice based carb. In South America its mainly flour based. They love their bread and breakfast pastries but you see very few fat people in Argentina/Brazil etc. In my grandparents day, it was potatoes and bread. They would never have touched rice unless it was in rice pudding and pasta was unheard of. In France they eat plenty of bread but not a lot of potato. We have imported everyone else`s carbs into our diet which is why we are eating too much of it and are getting fat. I`m starting to see that in the Far East as there are quite a lot of western style bread shops opening up.
I'm surprised by the number of obese young people I saw in Iceland. Mind you, McDonalds and the like are the only way younger people in Iceland can afford to eat out. Two burgers and two drinks in a restaurant set us back the equivalent of £65.
The other issue is the amount of the carbs that go on our plates, we have far larger portions for example of noodles when they would be a small percentage of a meal with shredded vegetables and pasta should be a small portion like we'd have a few potatoes on our plates with loads of salad or other veg. You can get good substitutes for most of the traditional carb foods, I love icelands frozen kale/cauli/ broccoli rice and I mix spiralised veg into noodles so the noodles are about a third of the strandy stuff. I mix mash my veg too carrot and swede with just enough potato in to stop it being watery. Shredded white cabbage mixes with tagliatelli especially with a drizzle of olive oil I love carbs, I just prefer to reduce my dependence on them

mainly due to suffering terribly with " gout " i have started eating to more salads / veg leaving out potates and rice etc, although i have not
lost much weight in 2 -3 weeks ( maybe few pounds ) i do not feel bloated, i feel thinner and im going to keep it up for a life time change / way of life. i dont think i will ever go back to high carbs ever again.
ive a very very big problem with the beer though ! i never drink wine or spirits but love beer !!

PS ...if rice is so good for you then why are people in the east so fat , look at the thais and indians, more fat people than thin people in my view
