Yes - a great race - and (for once) Mercedes got their strategy right, by leaving Bottas out to (entirely legitimately) delay Raikonnen.

Hamilton showed a lot more patience than usual as the race gradually unfolded, then a piece of pure nerve/skill to make the final pass.

Good stuff - now onwards to Singapore - a great spectacle, but not usually a great race ...

Great race, how Raikonnen managed to complete the race on those tyres was a miracle, they were almost shredding. Bottas drove a brilliant section in holding Raikonnen back for so long, great team work from Mercedes.

Bazile's post reminds me of a friend when we were living in Germany, Match of the Day was shown on Monday night. He managed not to know the result of the FA Cup Final, when he sat down to watch MOTD the opening titles were of the winning Captain holding up the trophy!

I was at a wedding all weekend - I followed the cricket on the radio, but managed to avoid knowing the result of the F1 race until I returned home today to watch the recording.

A random AB tab left open on my iMac showed me this thread title in latest posts, when I did my switched on the iMac to do my email catchup before settling down with the TV - if it had revealed the winner I'd have been a bit cross (albeit mainly with myself for not being more careful).
