Fantasy Dinner Party
83 Answers
We were out last night for food and someone started a discussion about which 12 famous people/ celebrities/ historical figures /people who are known for something, alive or dead, (language being no barrier) you'd invite to a dinner party. What are yours, (and why if not obvious)?
I'd like to invite hundreds of people to be honest and mine have changed since last night but today they are:-
1. Salvadore Dali (I own so many Dali prints it's absurd, and his own parties were legend)
2. Ted Hughes (I'm writing a screenplay about him)
3. Oliver Reed (Reliably informed he was the most outrageously amusing *** in humanity)
4. Dorothy Parker (hilarious)
5. Bill Hicks (ditto)
6. Dali Lama (deep and hilarious)
7. Oscar Wilde (clever and hilarious)
8. Leonard Cohen (not hilarious but insightful and I'm such a fangurl)
9. Jo Brand (love her deadpan Englishness)
10. William Shakespeare ( well obviously, known party lad and nice way with words)
11. Victoria Coran ( so clever, so beautiful, so doesn't give a damn)
12. Kathy Burke ( super talented and she is the epitomy of not giving a stuff)

I have never actually attended a dinner party, per se (Percy who?), but if i were to organise one, it would have to be a memorable one. So, my guest list would be; Theresa May and Bojo Roxanne Pallett and Ryan Thomas Duchess of Sussex and her step sis (should that be sepsis?) Donald Trump and Bob Woodward Colleen Nolan and Kim Woodburn And a dinner party wouldn't be...
