Expensive!

Staying in a very plush hotel near Kenilworth. Had a drink before dinner.
White wine and soda and a pint of beer. £11 and that was with a 20% off voucher.
Cheapest bottle of white wine was £23. Good job we always take our own wine for in the bedroom.

Surely you must realise if you go to a 'plush' hotel you are going to pay increased prices.

our local bar charges 7 quid for a glass of wine and not a large glass either, London prices are astronomical no wonder so many choose to drink at home. 24 something for a bottle of wine, it doesn't bear thinking about.
5.20 for a bottle of pear cider, i think i will consider giving up drinking..
