Just read on ceefax about his autobiography when Moeen was playing against the Aussies.When one of them referred to him as"Obama" He could have meant that he looked like an American president,or he took it as an insult because Obama is black,if so he is no better than the Aussie.Or have I missed the point completely?

Brian Johnston was famous for his unintentional humour when commentating - In one incident during a Test match at the Oval in 1991, Jonathan Agnew suggested that when Ian Botham was out hit wicket, trying to hurdle the stumps, it was because he had failed to "get his leg over".

He also said - "There's Neil Harvey standing at leg slip with his legs wide apart, waiting for a tickle."

As for the supposed Holding / Willey interface- it's a famous and funny story, but it's not true.

Brian Johnston was commentating on the test between the West Indies and England, when Michael Holding of the WI, bowled to England's Peter Willey. In fact, there is no evidence that the comment was made - Brian Johnston did not recall saying it, and there is no recording of it.
