We were going to Swindon to support Waterboatman doing his parachute jump
We left about 07:00, at 08:00 ish we were about 50 miles in approaching the M25, Sevenoaks area, the traffic in front of us came to a sudden stop, Tash stopped ok, no problem, the Merc. behind us didn't, well not until he was parked in our boot, and shoved us into the car in front, air bags went off, short term chaos, everybody out.
Bottom line is we are all ok, Tash has a bit of a stiff neck, PMs checked her out on site, didn't think there was a problem, usual advice given, the rest of us are ok, airbags and headrests did their jobs.
Police on scene, checked the rear camera, no doubt whose fault it was he was looking out the side window at the time.
AA Recovery brought us and the car home. Hopefully car will be written off, I don't want it back that's for sure, was going to change it early next year anyway, looks like that's been brought forward a bit.
Hopefully nothing else will go wrong, fingers crossed.

Really pleased you ALL came out relatively unscathed. Kate does'nt need any more hospitalisation. Tash is going to need some TLC. :-)
I could really expect the incoming before the trigger was pulled. So predictable if you know where I am coming from? A 50mph rear shunt is obviously survivable. We practiced using driveable insurance right offs in our Anti-Ambush and Evasion tactical Driving courses(known as Crash and Bash) on the old Handley Page Radlett Aerodrome and deliberately rammed vehicles on roadblocks. Speeds of 30mph + were used to attain the object. No serious injuries that I am aware of.I hope the insurance co play the game and reward you for your loss. I am sorry that you were unable to make Swindon to observe Boaty and his noble endeavour. At least you made the effort. A few stiff'uns will help a stiff neck methinks.Best Wishes.

Strange that the Memsahib and I only have ice in G&T.We are not spirit drinkers as a rule but never use ice in oher drinks. If offered I would not put ice in a decent Jamesons or Bushmills and NEVER a Pussers rum. An act deserving of keelhauling. :-)

Good choice. I was told my Skoda Superb estate was based on the Audi A4 with a 2 litre VW fuel injected lump. Any how. I love the old metal bird advert with the I'm free as a breeze song. :-)

It must have been traumatic for Tashi in light of the fact that she lost loved ones in an RTA.

My car was rear-ended and totalled on Boxing Day 2013 and it took a couple of days for the whiplash to come out. I was suffering for months afterwards. All in all, I got a few grand in compensation.

No doubt Boaty would have enjoyed seeing you all there.

she'll be fine in a couple of days I think. Nat will drive them to work and back this week if needed.
