Bingo Sharing Winnings.
7 Answers
On a recent holiday we met a couple in a bar that played bingo. We bought 2 strips of six, 1 each. The other couple bought 1 strip of six and shared it between themselves, 3 tickets each. My wife piped up to my annoyance “shall we go in shares” Meaning 50/50 Oh yes they said. As it worked out I won 100 €. On another night my wife won another 100. When alone I tried to explain my reasoning to my wife we had more chance of winning as we had 12 tickets, they only had 6. Her reasoning was it only takes 1 ticket to win if you buy 1 or 101. I said they should only have had a percentage not half as they had paid out less money for their 6 tickets than us who had bought 12. Am I a miser. Am I right.

I would expect it was used to top up the drinks bill so for the sake of harmony forget it.
Agree the investment should be equal really, if splitting 50/50. although it only takes one ticket to win, the chances of you having that ticket are higher because your outlay is higher.
However, you're on holiday and having fun and you go with the flow; comforting your inner miser with the knowledge that you are being mighty generous!
