Dave's Finding Out How We Do Things In Ireland... :-)

We are in a lovely little cottage miles up a winding track overlooking the sea......
I'm happy with my wine, knitting and the view but Dave decided we would go into little town for what he thought was the grand opening of a new techy building....full of gadgets he loves and to be used by all for miles around.....

I know that the opening of anything is mostly a religious ceremony here but hey.....keep quiet , Gness.... ;-)

The priest in robes was an instant giveaway.......and the English Protestant vicar in a dog collar was another.....

Dave bowed his head and listened to the bible reading...the little sermon and all the thanks given to God for the people he'd helped to build and equip this fantastic place....with all the amens from the gathering but.....

It was when the priest got his dish of holy water out dipped in his little sprinkler and sprayed the Protestant guy....all the laptops and printers...and Dave and blessed them all that I had to take Dave outside.....
We missed the nibbles and wine.....previously water.....and I bought him a pint at Murphy's........as Dave googled.....is being sprayed with holy water by a Catholic priest dangerous?.......:-)
