Monday. A lovely day yesterday. It's the first time I've had lunch in a church! A lovely lunch it was too. I had a good natter with one of the vicars who was sitting opposite me. He and his wife were interesting company, they wanted to know about the badge on my blazer, I wore the 3RHA one. My mate and I sloped off to the pub just outside the church grounds for a couple of pints. A most enjoyable day.
I'm being lumbered with the wee white tornado for a couple of days today. Can't wait! :o}
I'm not far from Perranporth, not my favourite place - best things are the local butchers, the golf course is a challenge and known as the 'Commandos course' and the Watering Hole, Britain's only bar fully on the beach and the biggest outlet for Rattler....
morning DT, sounds like a lovely place, i have been to Cornwall many times and loved Lostwithiel where we stayed for 10 days, exploring the countryside, happy memories.
I thought it was a dreary little town back then but the folk who ran the hotel we stayed in bred cats and evenings in the lounge were always good for a snuggle. I seem to remember it was Maine coons the first time I'd met this breed
It hasn't changed much, St Agnes is probably the nicest-looking town on the north coast, this side of St Ives. South coast, Falmouth is the most active - Lostwithiel for antiques but don't go there on Mondays as the whole place seems to shut up. St Austell is, well, St Awful and the St can be turned into an appropriate adjective for the place.
Got to be on my bike, as such. Have a good one all....
Morning all, early get-up today, early for me that is, poorly grandson coming over for a duvet day on the sofa. A bit chilly, Norfolk, yesterday I actually wore socks, first time for months. That beef sounds good if a bit over-cooked for my liking, my answer to how would you like your steak is 'Mooing'.
