Should I Go Or Should I Stay?
7 Answers
Have a great job offer in another state where one of my children lives. In the meantime mother had a stroke. Although she is still a bit weak she is expected to have a full recovery. It is time for the job to start. Although there are others who can care for her and look after her, should I go? Or should I stay to make sure she is going to be ok on a daily basis?

Not what you think you should do. If you lose a opportunity for duty you may always regret it. If you choose to care for your mother because knowing that will make you happy then choose that. Would they hold the job a little longer for you? What would you advise a friend in the same position? Taking a view from a different angle helps Good luck I wish you wisdom
I would speak to mum first.BUT.. .from the point of view of an outsider..I would say go....mum is expected to make a full recovery and there are others to care for her if needed...your child will be disappointed and you may not get such an opportunity again.... could she perhaps come to visit for a while once you are there ?
