Maybe threads can't be accessed when the title is being being amended?

Quick clarification HIA, I wouldn't be leaving because someone told me I ought to, but because the site no longer facilitates my use of it, those are two entirely different things. I anticipate I won't be using the site as much anyway shortly as I will be doing other things and after that next year extremely busy I imagine but the only reason I'd leave is if I became unhappy with the site itself, not to gratify other people who would rather see me gone x
With some threads it is obvious why they have been closed to further traffic....others, not so much.
When threads have been re-opened it is also usual to be able to tell what happened to them when they were unavailable.
Some threads seem to be briefly closed to allow them to be pruned in an orderly manner.
As Chris has indicated there are decisions that have been passed down from the Editorial team to the Mods so they are only carrying out their duties as instructed.
I cannot, for the life of me, see why some people get so bent out of shape by 'management decisions' on this forum.
