Apparently October is Black History Month?
Why?
Dawn Butler wants black history taught in schools all year round.
What a cheek?
Tail wagging the dog.
It is not racist to point out that ethnic minorities have too much to say about how our country is run.

Black History Month has never bothered me in the 31 years since it began in the UK, some of what it covers is very informative.

But what about our history?
I was taught and know lots of History from both here and worldwide, same goes for my children and grandchildren.

Yes, but the black agenda it seems to me is to eclipse our own history to a great extent and exaggerate their contribution to our society.
Well, if that's your view then there's nothing I can say to that.

Mamya - My daughter in law is black. I am not racist.
I have black relatives too, neither am I.

Only so many history lessons available.
Black studies should be peripheral.
Black history is very much a part of British History...as are all the other groups that became part of this countries population....the Danes, Saxons, Normans and celts as well as those from so many other nations...or is it only black peoples history that you have a problem with...sadly I think it is. Perhaps we should ensure that we make the entire population very aware of the huge damage the white population of the UK have done to the rest of the world too. Oh ...and of course Jesus was black

So White guilt? Again?
White guilt? I don't feel guilty for what English people have done in the past but those that did were and are...But of course none of us are pure English we are a mixture of all the people who came here. For that reason we cannot ignore the history of those that make up the population of the UK. Actually the treatment that has been meted out to many of the Windrush generation is an absolute disgrace.....modern history!
