Karcher Window Vac

Does anyone have one of these? If you do, what do you think of it?. I’m talking about doing the insides of the windows.
Is it worth the money?
Does it sit in the cupboard unused?
Does it do a good job?
Would you bother getting one if you’d tried it first?
I’ve always relied on a wet cloth and my trusty 99p silicone blade, and never bothered cleaning the inside of the windows very often. However, since getting our dog, there’s now new dog snot and sniffle marks every day and I’m looking for an easy and convenient way to clean them, much like the steam mop has made cleaning muddy paw prints a darned sight easier than a mop and bucket.

I use my window vax often...it is amazing how dirty the water collected is..need to wipe right in the corners a bit..but that's no issue

Great wee machine although you still need an old rag for the edges.

i have one and use it regularly great on windows and mirrors,i use water vinegar and a little washing up liquid put on with a cloth then wipe over with a cloth dipped in clean water then vacuum off, after every window I wipe blade with a piece of kitchen roll ,lovely streak free windows ,.also great to get rid of condensation on windows xx

They're awesome. I even use mine to clean the greenhouse once a year.

By the time you get the Karcher Window Vac out of the box put it together you could have done your windows. A quick use of a micro cloth round the edges and its job done. No dis assembling the vac to empty water out etc, plus charging it up. Oh yes I do have one but if I am honest I do not find it any better. A blade I got off our window cleaner plus soapy water and a micro cloth does me fine.

I find it more useful for outside windows, rather than inside.
There are lots of different brands available now....and much cheaper.
Lidl do their own (Silvercrest) version at less than half the Karcher ones.

My window cleaner comes every fortnight and does the outside of my windows - I asked him if he also did the insides which he said he would do for me. £8 a fortnight is, I think, great value. Downside is that you have to be at home when he calls or only the outside done.

Well I think mine's great, makes window cleaning so quick and effortless - plus it's handy for sucking up liquid spills! I hardly ever have to charge it either.

I’ve just been out and bought one, currently charging it up.
I’d forgotten about the three sliding mirror wardrobe doors, and the three Georgian glass panalled doors we have, hopefully this gadget will make it easier to clean those too.
Time will tell.

Hi ethandron,
the absolute best thing I have bought recently cost me 2.00 /3.00 After using one I ended up buying 3! I do my Windows/ doors/ door surrounds/ tiled walls/ radiators ...
The pad is about hand size and slips off to wash in the washing machine. I really can't reccomend them enough.
