I have to admit I didnt, never thought about it until I got an awful smell from the rubber seal. Apparently it should be done once a month. Because a lot of people wash at lower temps now, it increases the chances of build up. So, I bought this .. https:/ /www.wi lko.com /en-uk/ dr-beck mann-se rvice-i t-washi ng-mach ine-cle aner-de ep-clea n-250g/ p/03330 76

Once i forgot to do this and it started to smell a wee 'stale' so i followed an ABERS advice regarding a cup of vinegar or something to give it a clean, did this then removed water where it builds up and smelt fresh again.
I can't remember the aber, it may have been cloverjo.
