The UK gives hardly any aid at all to the whole of Pacific region. For example, in the most recent year for which full figures are available (2016), the UK gave £2.86bn to African countries and £2.34bn to Asian ones. The entire spend in the Pacific region was just £0.06bn with, as far as I can tell, none of that going to PNG.

PNG's largest aid contributor is, by far, Australia, providing US$7.7bn over a ten year period. The next largest contributor, providing US$1.7bn over the same period, is China.

thanks chico, that's good news, not sure Australia/China will see it as such but at least we ain't paying for this largesse.
Was 1% just a guess, spath?
No, the UK gives 1% of tax to foreign aid, how much specifically of that goes to Papua New Guinea i'm not sure.
Okay. I think it's 0.7% overall. From buenchico's answer it seems the figure is nil or negligible for PNG- I wondered if you were chalenging that
Ahh, i see. No, i wasn't
Sorry, it's 0.7% of GDP overall on foreign aid. Not sure what the figure is asa % of tax or overall public/governement spending
In 17/18 the agreed budget for projects was £110,000.16 and I'm sure the 16p was vital.
The 16p was probably the amount allocated to projects after fees and other admin charges of £110000 were syphoned off
Just send them beans.
