Had a problem with my Samsung Galaxy phone "Not registered on network" or similar. Vodaphone shop helped by replacing SIM card I believe. But now anyone calling my phone hears the message "This person's phone is switched off, please try again later or send a text". How do I switch phone on?

How long is it since the SIM was swapped? It can take up to 48 hours for a change to be registered on the system so, if the swap has only happened very recently, it might just be a case of 'wait and see'.

Chris, new card was fitted this afternoon, But I have to go to High Street tomorrow so may ask at Vodaphone shop then. Thanks for reply.
I would definitely go back to the store. When I had my SIM changed in a Vodafone store it was 'live' instantly. Thought the days of waiting for a number to activate were long gone.
Vodafone's own site actually says "up to 24 hours".

If the problem persists though I suggest calling Vodafone UK Support on 191 from your mobile (if it will connect)or on 03333 040 191 from any other phone. (191 calls are free. The 03 number is charged at the same rate as 01 or 02 numbers, from both landlines and mobiles).
