I'm looking for more alternative Q&A sites with general topics. Does anyone know any good?

Possibly not the best question to introduce yourself with here, I think!

Mamyalynne has beaten me with the Wikipedia link but most of the sites listed there are either dormant (e.g. Blurtit) or full of spammers and trolls (e.g. Yahoo Answers).

The US site Answerbag.com, which seems not to be on that list, has also suffered from poor moderation but is possibly getting better and might be worth a look.

The only sites on that list which I regard as really useful though are Quora and Stack Exchange.

FF: I have no idea what's occurring avatar wise, the last 3 I had seem to pop up in no particular order or pattern. As I type this I have TGM but in the actual list it shows none. What do you see now?
