We have inherited a two oven Aga with AIMS controls in our house. We have set it so it goes into ‘slumber’ from 8pm to 7am. I did not want it, as I am very wary of the running costs. Please can anyone tell me how much electricity it uses daily or weekly. I do not know where I can find an independent appraisal. Any sensible ideas please?
Many thanks, Bramley.

I haven't got an Aga, but I thought that you might find these websites useful: https://www.spectator.co.uk/2016/09/im-selling-our-aga-heres-why/ http://www.tncook.co.uk/AGA_running_costs.html https://www.blakeandbull.co.uk/pages/using-your-aga-range-cooker-the-money-saving-way

I believe the AIMS control is now discontinued, but this may give you some info on typical running costs.

Aga's own figures suggest that if you have the ovens and hotplates on all day (and all night) you'll use 220 kWh (= £30.80) per week. If you've only got everything on for 13 hours per day (as your post seems to suggest) that can be scaled down proportionately to 119 kWh ( = £16.70) per week.
