Where will it end?

Does anybody think that it is inevitable that the western world will end up at war with the muslim world sooner or later?

Well it is an accepted aim of the Muslim world to ' convert ' the rest of the infidel world to Islam. Whether they have to go to war to achieve this aim is debatable. What with uncontrolled immigration, greater birthrate , Christian indifference and Government assistance, Britain and most of Europe will be Islamic by the end of this century. Whether this is a good or bad thing depends on your own point of view.
The way things are going I don' t see any reason for the Muslim world to risk war.

Fundmentalist Muslims are already at war with the western world - it's why we had 9/11. They will not be happy until the population of the world has converted to Islam.

To the western world the Muslim religeon is a wonderful 'invention'. Most of the Muslim countries do not have a manufacturing economy. They rely on the west for allmost everything.They have a majority of the oil in the world but don't have the knowhow to get it out of the ground.You can say the same about hospitals( the west builds,equips & staffs them),all forms of transport;in fact everything that makes a civilised world comes from the west. I don't think war will happen....we've got the technology they've got the oil.

i have been mulling this over myself recently.

with the war between lebanon and israel at its beginning, i can imagine that iran will be watching closely. iran if you remember suggested that israel should be wiped off of the planet and may well be tempted to help lebanon, the enemy of my enemy etc. now, israel has nuclear weapons, lebanon and iran do not. im sure that if their very existence was threatened israel would use its nuclear arsenal against iran or lebanon. this could well provoke further attacks against israel.

before this though, iran has been wanting to develop nuclear technologys for itself against the requests of the western world. if iran was to invade israel, our interests would be compromised as irans success would mean that iran would have these nuclear weapons which we do not wish them to have. this would give us every reason to enter the war on israels side. naturally, us helping the jews could compromise our relationship with egypt, who is a close ally, and other muslim countries, possibly causing them to take arms against us if it was percieved to be a muslim oriented attack.

could this be the start of WW3? i think it depends on iran. however, i have every confidence that israel could defeat lebanon and iran at the same time.

The conflict currently underway is founded on the need of the 'Western World' to impose it's values and democratic systems on the Islamic world, rather than the other way around.
Both 'civilisations are inherently intransigent and unable to offer meaningful, or sustainable compromise.

britain as a muslim state = no more bacon butties - a civil war will be sparked off long before this happens. How would a muslim state be possible? political insertion? remember, the military still remains a force unpenetrated by people with hidden political or religous agendas.

Take the nutters out of the equation for a minute. The real danger comes with standard muslims getting ever more power in countries like Britain, and in our case aided by our own anti British liberal elite who are terrified of causing offence, could eventually get enough power to turn us into an islamic state, may take a couple of hundred years but that's how the infidel will eventually be slain or converted. The best estimate currently puts the Muslim population of Britain at 1.5-2 Million.

Even taking that top estimate gives you less than 4%.

I very much dout the UK will have a majority of Muslims any time soon.

Even if we stretch imagination to it's extreme having a majority of muslims would not make us an Islamic state. If you look at Turkey for example you'll see that it's quite possible to have a secular muslim state.

If there's going to be a war in future, it wont be over religion but oil. The most unstable part of the world (for the longest time) is where most of the oil happens to be...

And btw, the reason there is a conflict between Israel and the palestinians is also not solely because of religion but land.

who knows Jonnythebosh. We may end up in a war for oil maybe because intrinsically we can not see other countries that have oil become powerful and prosper. That goes against getting cheaper petrol. Iraq is a clear example where US wanted to export its own version of democracy and look at where we ended up...

I am more convinced day by the day the problem with today�s politics is that criticising Israel has become so taboo-charged that you are either labelled terrorist-lover (by criticising Israel you automatically love and support Hizbullah or Hamas!) or in worse case scenario an anti-Semite (criticise Israel and you not only deny the holocaust but hate the �chosen people of God� by their roots!)!

Israel has commited and still commits state-terrorism just as easy and obvious as Hamas and Hizbullah commit guerrilla/urban terrorism! They are PARTNERS IN CRIME!!!
Who knows maybe instead of arabic one day we will all start speaking hebrew!!!
