Rte Guide Crossword

Have any of you won the RTE guide crossword before? I have won the 100e a couple of times over many years. I recently won the second prize of the notebook. It arrived by post yesterday, a paper notebook with a picture of a crossword on the front and the rte logo and a matching pen with rte logo!! Maybe I need to read the clues better. I wad expecting a notebook/tablet/electronic device. Lol

i think we'd all be entering the rte crossword if the runner's up prize was an electronic notebook :-)

congratulations, I have been doing this crossword for years but have never won, put it down to the fact I live within the 6 counties (N.I.) but I did notice someone from Co Tyrone had won the notebook (that pleased me because it's getting closer to Co. Antrim, lol )
I would have expected notebook/tablet ~ I would really have been disappointed.

Have won the RTE Guide Crossword 6 times over a 10 year period. Always the €100. Seems strange the Notebook. It was always two prizes of €100 up to two years ago. The Notebook is not worth getting. Good Luck!

I've won the RTÉ Guide many times and knew -somehow in the pit of my stomach I did not want to win that notebook, as a runner up prize I knew it would be nowhere near a new tablet or whatever, they're gone ever so stingey, if my name ever comes up with the notebook, I 'll email them and tell them to hold on to it, I have more stationary here than Easons

I didn't know you did it Tilly, they did have 2 winners of €100 as xaross so rightly said but then they cut it to one and the notebook, same time, they increased the price of it, I just love it regardless

I do the crossword every week and will continue to do so. Funny how things change. A few years ago we all knew that a notebook was made of paper and you wrote in it with a pen. And a tablet was a pill you took if you were ill. A laptop was where you put your tea tray while having a cuppa, or where the cat sat. As crossworders(is that a real word) it is interesting how the meaning of words can change over time.
