I hope this is not a false lead. Closure would be a great comfort no doubt to the victims mother.
I may be wrong but I think Mrs Lamplugh contributes to the letter page of the Daily Mail quite regularly.

I believe she has surviving siblings, so any closure would certainly be a comfort to them. Certainly hope this search proves more fruitful than the one in 2010.

no she just went zoop ! disappeared and that was that.

the suspect presumably is denying it - because he wants to get out.
as retro probably knows, cons will say absolutely anything .... and presumably someone is saying that he heard the body was buried at his mother's

One of my best friends was an estate agent and after the Suzy Lamplugh case the guidelines suggested that single women shouldn't go into a house alone with a potential buyer. Well, that didn't happen.

Didn’t the finger of suspicion point at Steve Wright (Suffolk strangler) after his conviction?
It was said that they both worked on a cruise ship at the same time.

A shame neither of the parents ever got to see justice for their daughter, and even if Cannan is charged, he’s already serving life, so is unlikely to serve a longer sentence.
