i work 3 days 22.5 hrs for a Consultant. colleague off long term and i have been told i have to do her job so basically doing her 22.5 hrs also so 45 hours in 22.5 hrs!!!! people in same office are doing same job - two girls work together so they have 51 hrs for two people, one girl works 37.5 hrs for two people and another 22.5 hrs for one person. I have been offered no remuneration etc ....comments and thanks please. To add insult to injury they also allow a full time person to work 12 hrs overtime at the weekend thus being paid time and a half for those extra hours?!!!

You’re still only doing 22.5 hours not 45 hours. Can you ask for extra hours to do the extra work?
One can not get a quart out of a pint pot. Your employer either needs you to do one job well, or two jobs barely adequately. Their choice. But what can and can't be asked of you should be in your contract. (But it will have been drawn up to give them the advantages to do what they want.)
They can require you do to pretty much what they want (within job description) in the hours that they pay you for. They can't require you to do more hours unless its in the contract and they certainly can't require you to do more hours for no more money. Also some jobs can be doubled up on without much difficulty....eg manning phones that don't ring constantly, checking people in for two clinics instead of one....and some jobs are much more difficult to double up on eg typing up notes and letters. If you believe that you can't take on more work in the hours that you do then you need to sit down with your manager with a list of all the jobs you are being asked to do and find out what you can drop to fit the extra work in.
What does it say in your contract of employment?
You cannot/should not do extra hours for no extra remuneration - you need to establish what can be left undone.
