I have this on video - it was made in 1983 and stars Ann Margaret - it is a right weepie and is the only film I have ever lost it at and still do whenver I watch it - there is a code on side of mine which says HLN 140 - hope this helps - it is called Who will love my children? - and the mother finds out she has termijnal cancer and the father is an alcoholic - so she looks for families to take her children - hope this is the film u mean

Did you know that the oldest child in the film who will love my children - who is called Joanne in the film is played by the actress Hallie Todd who now stars as Hilary Duff's mother in the tv show and film of the same name - Lizzie McGuire
