Did anyone watch this drama from true story about young woman snatched off street in London by Romanian sex trafficking gangs? Very upsetting.

Very well told and acted. I had to hide my eyes at times in anticipation of the violence. The police are stupid though, fancy asking the girls in front of their ability abductors if they're here willing!!! Of course they'll say yes. So police just walk away, idiots.

It was ok, but i don't think it taught us anything we don't already know. The problem i have when watching anything based on a true story is just how much of what we are watching actually took place and how much is 'poetic licence'? The version we saw led us to believe that the victim, 'Natalia', fought tooth and nail each time she was expected to 'perform'. We only have her word for this as it is her story that is being told. Surely after a few good beatings, she would have been more compliant?

Yet when I post about Geraint Thomas winning the Tour de France the thread disappears immediately because ‘some ABers were waiting for the highlights programme’ that evening!

We decided that the subject-matter was a little grim and offered precious little in the way of 'entertainment' so decided to give it a miss.
Which is not the same as saying that we choose to turn a blind-eye things like this happening out in the real world.

Why was it ‘obvious’ she escaped? Plenty of people are murdered, yet their stories are ‘told’ via drama/documentary programmes.

Agreed, chill. There are murder victims whose story has been dramatised, but they are usually high profile cases with which many are already familiar. Anyway, it was 'obvious' to me :-)
