tummy tuck surgery

I have serious problem with stretch marks and i am thinking of having a tummy tuck surgery to get rid of the m. The problem is that some marks stretch from above my navel and are 2cm wide, i have heard that tummy tuck basically is done on the belly part under the navel, do you know anything? Have you had this surgery, does it work for stretch marks?
