The temperature has stayed quite cold at AB Towers. Has anyone experienced frost yet?

Yes. Tuesday morning. 'twas time to turn off the outside tap; but betcha it won't drop below 32º again all month.

not here but my sis in the midlands has seen frosty mornings. Its very variable here (south). We have had brief spells of below zero at night (I run six digital max min thermometers to monitor the temps for the tortoises) but its currently not going below 9 at night. The trees are mostly still green and the roses are budding.

We had really hard frosts during the last few days. I have brought my chillies and mini peppers indoors the brassicas are doing well though.

the last cut of the year is soon upon us, i rarely mow a lawn in December, only if it's a lovely day and the next day is also looking good. The frost has started to affect my work, uniform wise as well as jobs and activities i can do. Most clients think it's a good time to prune things before the winter but in my opinion it's now too cold... The frost is upon us in the mornings.

I agree, too late to prune now except maybe fruit trees. My main efforts have moved indoors with all my shooting seeds for fresh salads during the winter. Oh the joys of seed catalogues though.

no, it's quite mild in the capital

I know, when I lived in London I would often need to mow in December and restart end of Feb. I could pick roses at Christmas too.
