Re-Installing Printer

Having - I think - established that the reason the printer won't print from the just-downloaded OpenOffice (see my post on Saturday) is that it does not recognise OO, and I reckon the solution will be to uninstall the printer (HP ENVY 4520 ) then re-install it on the computer. Is the uninstall a straightforward procedure, and will I be prompted how to do it when I click on 'install'?

Click 'Start'. Click 'Devices & Printers'. RIGHT-click on the printer icon. Click 'Remove Device'. RESTART THE COMPUTER!!! (That's IMPORTANT because it causes Windows to flush the registry, ensuring that there aren't any unwanted traces of the printer installation left). I would download the drivers for it in advance just in case, although Windows usually recognises what it is somewhat automatically GG x
