Having - I think - established that the reason the printer won't print from the just-downloaded OpenOffice (see my post on Saturday) is that it does not recognise OO, and I reckon the solution will be to uninstall the printer (HP ENVY 4520 ) then re-install it on the computer. Is the uninstall a straightforward procedure, and will I be prompted how to do it when I click on 'install'?
I'm extra-wary, as it's a friend's computer. Thanks

When you say 'Restart the computer', do you mean just shut it down in the normal way after clicking 'remove device', then start it up again?
