Jo Johnson has resigned as a transport minister, saying the country is "barrelling towards an incoherent Brexit" and calling for another referendum.

Incoherent is how it's making me feel now.

Of course the leaving date can be extended, I am sure the rest of the member states would welcome the idea with open arms. Ignore N/Js comments at 17.09, he has been playing with his gavel again.
I never ignore NJ's posts as there is too much truth in them
Ignore NJ's posts and take yours seriously, Gulliver? Seriously? What a wag you are!
exactly my point, he is a leaver, knowledgeable and well versed in matters relating to the EU. Which most of us aren;t.
Another vote should there be one must be purely either accept the deal on offer or leave on wto terms.

This call for a people’s vote, which by the way we have had, is simply the useful idiots being manipulated into another in - out vote by any other name.

Actually there are plenty who have openly stated they want another vote to over turn the first but useful idiots still fits.

You do show your political naivety so readily. Do you really think that if the UK went begging to the EU for an extension, that at least one (and I can think of more) would not say, "Yes we'll agree, but at a price", for example, something like Gibraltar suddenly springs to mind.

Through the pathetic performances of Theresa May, Hammond et al, the UK already looks ridiculous enough, going pleading for an extension to article 50 would make our handling look even more farcical - if that's even possible.

The UK is badly in need of a new PM, and pronto!
I agree. May must go, she's making a laughing stock of the UK.
Yes, I think we’ve all ignored the Gibraltar issue and Spain’s potention veto on the provisions of an agreement.
Potential.
Aye, the Tories let the whole country down when they arranged between them to give May the top job. Worth remembering.

It's in nobody's interest to keep extending the period before we leave in order to give the impression we aren't serious about leaving, or willing to go 'no deal'. We leave as scheduled and thus give what clarity we can to all concerned.
The referendum he is "demanding" involves three choices: 1. Leave under Mrs May's "deal"; 2. Leave under no deal; 3. Remain.

the only issue is - that if you start with the wrong premisses you will come to the wrong conclusions. - I am not sure if Jo-Jo would agree with the analysis of his views, - that there are three choices

( because it is amenable to the process of - prove two are ridiculous and the third must be true - and I dont think he is saying that)

but ho hum - we arent in charge
the ones we voted for - - are - -- I think
Yes. We have focused too much on the RoI - NI border and totally ignored the issue of the Spain - Gibraltar border. Gibraltar voted overwhelmingly to remain, this could be problematic.
Let's face it we ain't, never ever ever going to get out, completely, maybe in name only but never ever completely, just get used to it and try and learn to live with it.
