Firms don't want to invest in training apprentices because when trained they can't hang onto them. Government hasn't yet made it worthwhile enough (subsidies) for firms to train apprentices for the general good of the country?
hi, have you thought of joining the forces to get an apprentiship, your training would be first class allong with a rate of pay that would be four times that of a civi apprentise, all the best to you.
and because the JIB (the grading body for sparks) is intent on making it so difficult to become qualified by moving the goal posts. Total *******! i've been a spark for 8 years and these ******* change the rules so i have to do another 500 course! If you were to go it alone your qualifications would cost you over 4000.
