Saw hundreds of these in Paris last week....wonderful way to get around a city.....and such fun....even saw courting couples sharing a scooter.....sweet....x

There is quite a difference between attitudes in France and here though.....Paris was a happy place.....with folk not only respecting other road and pavement users but being more aware and less selfish........didn't seem to be the....

This is my space!!!!.... attitude so often seen here..... :-)

Yeah i agree Gness... I like the fact amsterdam has bike paths, we should get those for these "in between" vehicles.

Things must have changed since I was last in Paris, gness. I saw lots of drivers using their cars to push parked vehicles so they could park in a tight space. Most cars had dents and scrapes.

Dave and I were going to share a scooter but couldn't agree about where we stood....
On the back I'd see nothing of the city.....he's big....

On the front I'd feel like a little kangaroo in a pouch... :-(

And I took my life in my hands crossing the roads in Paris, even on the crossings. I learnt to cross only when following a nun or priest :D

I would have agreed with you once, Hc.....but we only saw one numpty driving badly and he was given space to do a ten point turn....

Drivers seemed amazingly patient and observant. Each day we had a cocktail outside a bar where four roads crossed or turned.....and there were two pedestrian crossings.. not once did we witness bad or unkind behaviour....x
