Well, we didn't get any coverage on the beeb, despite being quite near the front of the parade. We were E17, but the coverage jumps from E12 to E21. Ah well, at least we were there to remember. However....when we got back to Horseguards, our little unit of members finished the parade right next to Dan Snow, and we were able to watch him interviewing all those wonderful people. For all those who have recorded it, look again at about 2hrs 30 mins in, and you will see Dan Snow interviewing a Gurkha who has prosthetic legs. What a tribute to fortitude, eh? Now. Look in the background and see the guy scoffing a bacon sandwich. Tis me! My family won 't let me live it down. It's memorable all right!
I don't think That was the intention of this thread at all Magpie, more a simple conversation about how things went, placed rightly in Chatterbank where chat lives.
But then there's rarely a thread that doesn't irk someone I suppose.
