How very wounding! Although, that guy looks quite presentable if you take off the ears! Hello Summer, I am very flattered in your interest in me! I am 49, and I bear an increasing resemblence to Loyd Grossman as I get older - that should give you a rough estitmate of my appearence. of course, I should have said I get mistaken for David Beckham all the time, but I'm just too honest. In my capacity as a part-time freelance music writer, I often attend rock and metal gigs, and my appearence attracts some consternation - I dress like a man of my age should, with any dignity, i.e. jeans and a shirt or tee-shirt, so I do stand out from the Goths and rockers rather in the manner of a rabbi at a christening. If you require further info, please ask away, I love talking about myself and will do so until you are bored.

I know this is REALLY sad, but I google-imaged myself to see where the picture came from. If you look at the last image of page three of the images, you will see the cover of 'Creem' Magazine, with Morrisey and Marr of The Smiths. I wrote that feature - fame at last!!!!

So you've met the man Morrissey then Andy? How was he in person?

I've met him twice, and both times he smelled fantastic! Other than that, he's as you would expect - he has a super-dry sense of humour, which I am sure America doesn't understand. he is a very private person, and reveals as little as possible. During the 'Creem' interview, the band were in the process of splitting, but our Stephen revealed nothing at all. He was very nice, and hopefully i can get to him again when he visits these shores - I'll let you know.

Hi Andy, thanks for the info. I also wondered what happened to rock journos when they got too old too be cool at gigs. Just had a look at the Smiths interview v interesting. So what do you think of Morrisey's new single? I heard it the other day whilst doing chores and didn't twig it was The Moz until halfway through. Remember thinking it was really nice before it dawned on me. Also, have you heard the Scissor Sister's album and what's it like?
