I missed Peter Jackson’s documentary earlier this month, and it’s not on Virgin’s “Catch Up” TV.

Is iPlayer the only source to see it now?

It's not available on any catch-up source due to rights issues. (That's probably because it currently has a limited cinema release):

I am sure a DVD of it will become available in time for Christmas.

Thanks. The article hints at Amazon bringing out a DVD - I’ll watch out for it.
I only got round to watching this last night, and I hope you get to see it soon.
I'd love to comment on it further, but words fail me.

Yes, Bigbad - I've ordered it from Amazon, so hope to be seeing it in the next month or so. Looks absolutely brilliant.

it was only on iPlayer for a week, and that ran out a day or two ago. They did publicise this in advance; I think I mentioned it on AB myself.

It was very impressive.

Incidentally, not quite off topic, have you seen this site?

This was good to, how Peter Jackson made 'They Shall Not Grow Old'

luckily they dont me

sounds better than it was - but still to be looked forward
as with a lot of the Great War remembrance - the interpretation of the bright young things with the Technology ans straight from uni. wont be in step with your grandfathers memories.

that is you are treated to colourised film and a reinterpreted commentary - they have green grass in the trenches and I thought oo er I dont think it was like that.

Necessarily the film parts are scrappy and the writers dont have the wherewithal to weave it into a narrative.

Even how the war ended has been extensively rewritten over the last forty years.
Max hastings the brilliant young commentator who made the Great War - 1964 - a hour a week for 26 weeks

is still alive and said last week
losing 700 000 men dead isnt that big a deal really

I have to say my jaw dropped at the extent of the revision of his view and interpretation
That link is interesting, thank you Jno.
