Driving Ban
6 Answers
Okay, this question is probably a big pile of crap but if anyone could answer it I'd appreciate it. If you get banned from driving in America and you are a resident of UK is the ban still enforced in UK. Basically if you get a driving ban in a country that isn't your own does the ban cover all countries? Also if you got a ban in your own country would the ban be for all countries? I know stupid innit?!?

That way this stops people going to France and driving like a complete ar$e, or test riding a new Fireblade for a laugh knowing they can still go to work in the car Monday morning back here.
Hope this helps.

If you are banned by the U.K. courts then your licence is taken away. This means that you cannot drive legally in U.K. . There is nothing to stop you taking a test and getting a licence in any other country. I think however, that the interest in this question is "If I lose my licence, can I drive while on holiday (or other short-term visit) in another country. Obviously, it normal to rent a car whilst on holiday and for this you do need to produce your licence. If you are as clever as I am, then you have the foresight to obtain at least one other copy of your licence BEFORE you get banned - as I did. Just tell U.K> authorties you have lost your licence and get a replacement.
