Any Idea What This Is Please ......

It's approx 16" high; 14" wide at the base and the brackets (or whatever they are??) are approx 11" apart and protrude from the main frame approx 8".

I'm sure it's not a music sheet holder, 'cos the brackets are too deep .... but I've no idea what it could be.
To be honest, I'm not sure if it's complete ... but has anyone any ideas as to what it could be please ????

Maybe something like a mandolin as the bit which could hold the neck is quite low down.

Thanks for all the swift replies :)
I've had a quick look and also found that there are guitar stands that don't have support for the necks, as all the support is taken by the bottom bracket ..... so a guitar (or similar instrument) stand it is then :)
