In answer to your question - bike gears are a bit like washing machine programmes - you get offered multiple choices but only use 3 or 4.
On a different point why, when there is a dedicated cycle path next to an A road, do lycra louts insist on riding on the road, even through a village where there is loads of street furniture so motorists have no chance to overtake them???

Perhaps because the government ought not be nicking our roads to give free for cyclists to use. Poor decisions tend to treated with disdain by those imposed upon.

Haha, that’s laughable!!
What makes you think they’re YOUR roads?
Or are you under the poorly misjudged and misguided opinion that roads are paid for exclusively by motorists? If so, as a vehicle owner doesn’t that give me the right anyway as I pay ‘road tax’?
Oh but I forgot.....no such tax exists. Roads are paid for by EVERY taxpayer. I’m guessing you’re confusing non existent road tax with a Vehicle Excise Licence? Luckily it’s a very common error/misconception so you’re excused.
