Stuck on this one and it should be so obvious but I just can't see it. Pretty sure of adjoining letters but I've been wrong before!

1d. Not nice bend north side excessively right out (8) ?N?O?E?Y
Could be UNLOVELY, UNCOMELY or UNHOMELY
