Well I hope that the windy spell has blown away my bad luck. Couldn't pick my nose for the last two weeks so hoping for a bit better this time. Some old favourites of mine out today and the N.H. programme is really getting into full swing. Besides the 4 listed below I note that one of my regular choices runs in the 2.30 Chepstow, the Welsh National Trial. Houblon Des Obeaux. I will see how my earlier runners fare and may use it in a cover punt if needs be.(If! Talk about wishful thinking.)

Morning togo and good luck with your selections. Soft/heavy going is the order of the day so it's probably best to tread carefully (pun intended). Despite having oodles of extra dosh to play with, thanks to last night's acca, i'm treading very carefully and have selected only those horses who have excelled when the mud is flying and, where possible, have had at least one run this season. Fingers crossed;

I don't know whether it is an omen but 3 of my brothers have gone for Vieux Lion Rouge in the 1.30 Aintree. I would be ruddy apoplectic if that was me Splitz. Not even accidental, the cheating git.

Last one fell to rob me of my place money but had £3 e.w. @ 14/1 (extra place odds) and £2 e.w. @ 18/1 (normal odds) for a return of £107.50. Plus another £7.40 for the win single in the L15. And my lot are 1-0 up at ht. Mustn't grumble :-)

Well done Ken. Started with a flier then went down bank. £1.00 E/W on it @16/1 took the sting out mind. Plus I have stopped the rot after a couple of dismal weeks. No harm done.
