Setting Up A Printer
We have just been given a new Canon Pixma TS3150 printer. Tried to set it up, but no go. It is a wireless model, but we do not have a wireless router. Cannot find any way of connecting it to the computer with a USB cable. Any help for a non specialist user gratefully received

If it IS non-wireless then contact your ISP and get them to send you a new router (it will probably be free)
Why cant you connect it with a USB cable?
Normally a printer cable is USB one end (that plugs in to the computer) and a square connector the other end (that plugs in to the printer). It often comes with the printer.

Canon's own description of that model includes "Hi-Speed USB (B Port)" in the 'Interface' section:

The full manual, which almost certainly won't be in the box but should have installed itself onto your computer during the set-up procedure, is available here:

The location of the printer's USB socket is shown on page 112 of that document. Running the set-up program from the supplied CD should provide you with the instructions that you need. (If you're using a laptop without a CD drive you can get the set-up software from here : https:/ /www.ca non.co. uk/supp ort/con sumer_p roducts /produc ts/fax_ _multif unction als/ink jet/pix ma_ts_s eries/p ixma-ts 3150.as px?type =downlo ad& languag e=& os=WIND OWS%207 %20(64- bit))
Like Guilbert though, I'd be very surprised if your router doesn't support wifi. Almost every router produced in recent years does.
