Not quite sure what to make of the third and final episode of this drama based on a true story. Will wait to see what others think.

I liked the montage at the end showing the families as they are now. I wonder if MOD have a valid reason for not releasing information 70 years on or if they're just being awkward, surely at this stage it can't be sensitive.
The problem, i suppose, with ' basing' something on a true story, is that the writer has to invent the ending so that it actually blends in withe what has gone on before. As i said on a previous thread, Mrs Wilson discovered only Gladys, her husband's first wife. She never actually met or knew about any of the others. And, as she did devote the rest of her life to God, the writer couldn't really come up with any other ending than the one shown. As it said before the credits rolled, the family continue to investigate Alec Wilson's life, probably in the hope that the MOD release details of his service. If that were to be the case, i would imagine we would have another 3 parter from his point of view?
