rabbit and guinea pig wash

hi both me and my friend each have the same problem so you will be helping double! my dwarp lop rabbit and my guinea pig have started getting dirty bottoms and coats. im afraid if it dries or watever they will find it really irritating on their skin. occasionally mine will groom themselves if its only a small amount but my friends pets dont and they have dirt all over their face and everything!
any suggestions?

It is doubly important for you to keep them very clean in this weather, as the risk of flies laying their eggs in the damp & dirty rear ends of small animals can lead to a fatal infestation of maggots called fly strike.
You can (obviously !!) very carefully trim around the bottom area to cut the risk of 'cling-ons', and I'm pretty sure there is a fly repellant product especially for this purpose that you protect them further..ask a Vet.
I have sometimes had to wash a grubby bunnys bot & they don't seem to mind...infact some seem to enjoy it.

You can get 'Guinea Pig and Rabbit' shampoo from the pet shop. It is very mild and easy to use, just make sure you dry them well afterwards. You could let them run about in the warm on the grass this weather.
