Lightweight Upright Vacuum Cleaner..not Cordless

Can anyone recommend a lightweight, upright, corded vacuum cleaner please.

Fed up making mistakes buying either too heavy or little suction..

I'm looking for the same advice! I had an upright Dyson and used it reasonably happily for years and years, until I got fed up with having to convert it to use the hose and attachments.

I read all the reviews and settled on a small lightweight pull along Hoover. Only to find it has no suction and gives me back ache!

Thankfully the Dyson was still going as a spare and I went back to it in the end, but its very old and worn out now. Desperately need a recommendation for a new vacuum cleaner that is easy to use, as I'm easily put off the job!
