I'm off on a working trip to Belfast for a couple of nights from Tuesday and would like recommendations for places to eat.

I'll be working around Victoria Street and May Street so anywhere around there would be good.

Cheers :o)

What are you looking for, Tigger? (Cheap pub grub? Seafood? Chinese, Indian, Thai or other oriental? East European? Traditional Italian food or American-style pizza? Irish food? Mexican?). It might influence the suggestions you get!

Rather than wasting my (and your) time posting lots of links to places which wouldn't interest you, I'll point you in the direction of how I try to find suggestions for questions like yours:

Start here:
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurants-g186470-Belfast_Northern_Ireland.html
Then click on 'View Map' (towards the top left of the page).
Zoom in, and click-&-drag, to concentrate on the area you're interested in.
Place your cursor over a dot to see the name of a place, the type of food it offers, the price range it falls into and it's review rating. If it look interesting to you, click on it to open a small box with just a little more detail in it.
If it's still of interest, RIGHT-click on the name of the place and select 'Open Link in New Tab'. (DON'T left-click. If you do, you'll have to re-focus the map every time you return to it. If you use a new tab you can get back to the pre-focussed map simply by changing tabs).

Hi do you have a budget? What a shame I’m currently signed off we could have grabbed a coffee.

Anything Chris, although it would be great to get some traditional Irish grub. Cheers for the link, will have a look :o)

Our budget for the whole day is £26. That's a shame Rockrose - do you work around that area?
Yup Gt Victoria street.
The crown saloon does great meals as for flame and hope street which is bring your own.
The problem you will have is the Christmas party is in full throw and most places will be doing Christmas menu. Bourbon is also very good

Our Belfast branch is on Victoria Street and hotel off May Street.

Will have a look at the crown salon. Is that a pub?
Yes it’s very famous and a bit of a tourist mecca but if you don’t want to eat in a pub it has upstairs dining room
The best 'pub' around. Had to visit it one year with a view to 'refurbishing'' it! How the hell do you refurbish a place like that? It's spectacular. (Still had a good time in Belfast though).

I bet it will be very busy with Xmas do's.
Yes but drop them an email and see if they have a booth to reserve.
You have to sit in a booth
