I am a sufferer of depression and anxiety and have been for many years have good days and bad days I also suffer from insomnia my final diagnosis before discharge from mental health team 2 years ago was borderline personality disorder. My friend reckons they give you that label when they dont know what is wrong with you!! I was chatting to a friend today who has had similar issue to myself and he feels cannabis has really helped him and he suggested I try some as an ingredient in food as I dont smoke. I know it can be beneficial in pain relief and there is a great debate about the negative effects on mental health ie psychosis but I also suffer from an arrythmia well controlled as well as type 2 diabetes and I am on a lot of medication so not sure if it would be worth the risk, not ready to meet my maker yet too much sin !! But I want to know the full facts as much as possible before I make an informed choice.

yeah eddie and I obviously lead an inner city existence
skunk is just a high cannabis oil cultivar
and not a separate species

I suppose is is 'medias in res' for this - oops Latin but it is about drugs used therapeutically - kinda - "middle way for all things"
a little may not have the same effect as a lot

Nothing in this discussion has made me think
Oh I must go out and buy some and try it
me neither PP ! hows yoo doin' ?

Eddie - where do you get your information from? Not all weed is skunk...

Smoking/eating pot will relax you at first.

Then the troubles will begin and you will have more troubles than you started with.

Don't even consider it as a "cure" for mental health problems.

Same with alcohol, been there, done that, BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!
Gordie, as others have said, it is well known for causing long-term psychosis, paranoia and schizophrenia. Are you thinking of CBD tablets which are cannabis based but without the intoxicants?

There is scope for use of medicinal cannabis in some diseases, these should be investigated . cannabis use and having MHI , no .
i would say stay well away, i have seen the damage first hand from smoking cannabis and its not pretty. It can cause paranoia, hallucinations and much more. I would talk to your mental health worker before making any life changing decisions. Cannabis can lead to other stranger substance abuse, like skunk for e.g. Not the way i would go at all.
I know not all 'weed' is skunk but 99% of what you can buy on the street now is skunk!
Wrong Eddie.
I would be very wary of taking it nowadays. We
all had a lot of fun in the 60s/70s, but the weed is not the same now.
If you need to take cannabinoids in order to treat some medical issue, you could use the CBD products, they have many health benefits without getting you high. Have a look at this article, you will find here a lot of interesting informations.
