What we in Q & P would like is a search facility that:-
a) Has a database that is updated as soon as each new question is asked.
b) Has the opton to order the hits according to the user's wishes. e.g. (i) In order of date posted. (ii) In order of most recent response. (iii) Ordered by poster's name.
c) Has a database that does not give duplicate hits. Currently, every question appears as the question itself, and also as the page of questions on which it appears. I don't think there is any use for the page of multiple questions. Most searchers are looking for the questions themselves.
Here's hoping for a pink response. Even one in whatever colour the acolyte is allocated would be acceptable as long as the problem is sorted.
P.S. Sorry Dot, I lapsed into the vernacular there at the start, but I'm sure you get my drift.

For the search to work properly, there has to be an agreed way of referring to a crossword. If folk call the same crossword "Daily Telegraph General Knowledge Crossword" "DTGK" or "DT Gen " or whatever, the matches will differ. If folk made sure the number of the crossword was mentioned, a search could be made using the crossword number and clue number
you could do what i have just done, ie go back a few pages untill you found the time from last night or follow this
